Shear Capacities for Wood-Framed Diaphragms

Based on SDPWS 2015 (Table 4.2). All specifications based on min. 19/32 floor sheathing, 12″ field nailing. All SDPWS shear values multiplied by 0.5 * (1 – (0.5 – 0.42)) to convert to ASD and adjust for SPF framing. Unblocked shear values show All other Cases / Case 1, in order to achieve higher sheathing each loading direction must be analyzed separately.
