Revit Families – Door Casing

All door casing families are controlled through the “Door Casing” shared family.
Common instance parameters:
- Clear Width
- Clear Height
- Cut Siding Thickness
- Default Casing Head Thickness
- Default Casing Head Width
- Default Casing Jamb Thickness
- Default Casing Jamb Width
- Default Reveal Head
- Default Reveal Jamb
- Return Depth
- Rough Width
- Rough Height
- Mirrored (yes/no)
- Head Flashing (yes/no)
- Adjustable Dimensions (these provide instance-based overrides for each family’s default values. Typically a value of 0 represents no change, and a negative value represents turning off an element or setting its dimension to zero)
- Adjustable Dimension 1 (typically tied to left jamb width)
- Adjustable Dimension 2 (typically tied to right jamb width)
- Adjustable Dimension 3 (typically tied to head width)
- Adjustable Dimension 4
- Adjustable Dimension 5 (reserved for future use)
- Adjustable Dimension 6 (reserved for future use)
- Adjustable Dimension 7 (reserved for future use)
- Adjustable Dimension 8 (reserved for future use)
- Adjustable Dimension 9 (reserved for future use)
