Drafting – Floor/Roof Framing Plans

View range – cut through walls below (catch doors/windows) extend 6″ above floor level. View settings from template (cut walls hatched, walls in extents light) – show joists of course
- Tag all beams (with marks)
- Text note multi-ply beam fastening requirements
- If hold downs attach to beams below show and label
- If framing is exposed for architectural appearance consider noting that
- If framing is exposed to the weather ensure it’s noted as P.T. or exterior rated
- Ensure proper wind beams where required (such as stair openings)
- Text note all hangers (this should probably be a tag since theres so many options)
- Framing label for joists
- Text note sheathing requirements – hatch and text note areas with higher reqs
- Label collectors (collector line annotation (wip) and collector label (wip))
- Describe strange collector situations with text note and reference to detail
- Label roof slopes
- Add roof ventilation calculations from pdf – or note if unventilated
- Test note additional roof ventilation requirements
- Hatch and label over framing areas
- Callout manufactured trusses
- Callout heel heights if variable
- Overall plan dimensions not required
- Dimension roof overhangs
- Dimension floor edges/openings where not specified otherwise
- Text note describing where blocking is required
- Flag details
- Callout strange posts that are not specified otherwise
- Callout doubled joists/truss where required
- Generally clarify strange conditions with text notes
