Clothes hanging area= min. 24″-28″ depth and min. 36″ wide is typical

Outwear/Jackets require additional depth

Reach-In: 24″-28″ depth, min. 36″ width. Door size minimum: 24″

Step-In: 42″ depth (18″ depth user standing area), min. 36″ width. Door size minimum: 24″

Walk-In: 36″ depth, min. 84″ width. Door size minimum: 32″ – to accommodate mobility-aids or dressing activity within a closet allow for a 60-67″ wide clearance for a dressing circle

Clothing Rods: 12″ from the wall min.

• Long hanging storage (outerwear/jackets, dresses, formal wear): 68″ to 72″ abv. FF
• Medium hanging storage: 54″-63″ abv. FF
• Short hanging storage (shirts/ folded pants): 42″-48″ abv. FF
• Child/ Seated users hanging storage: 36″-45″ abv. FF
