Workset Management

Make a new Teamwork File:

  1. Save the design model with a final project name- example: “Emerson ADU Design 3.2” > “Emerson Residence Remodel & ADU”
  2. In the Collaborate tab open Worksets, click ok on the popup (do not change the “Editable” category yet)
  3. Save as on the Revit server
  4. Close the project, then open the project from the server version
  5. Open the worksets tab again and change the “editable” category to “No”, then synchronize with central

Spin off a design or back-up File:

  1. Save the teamwork file and close
  2. File>Open>Select Project from the Revit server but be sure to select the check box for “Detach from Central” before opening
  3. select >Detach and discard worksets in the popup window
  4. Save this detached copy in the CAD folder for the project with the date
